Frequently asked questions
I am new to Karu. What should I do first?
Come to any Sunday Mass and speak to a warden at the door afterwards. Then register at the office so you can be placed in your zone.
How do I have a Mass offered for someone?
Bring the name and the intention to the office during the week. It will be entered in the register and announced at the altar.
Can I be married here if I am not registered?
Speak to the office at least three months ahead. You will need recent baptism and confirmation certificates, and banns will be published on three Sundays.
Someone in my family is seriously ill.
Ring the office at any hour, day or night. A priest will come to the home or the hospital.
Write to the parish office
Registration puts you in a zone, so the parish can reach you for the sacraments and visit you when you are ill. You can also complete a form at the office after any Sunday Mass.
